INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPERS
SUBMISSION OF PAPERS
The original paper and two copies should be sent to the Conference Secretariat or to the “Redacción del Boletín de la Sociedad Española de Cerámica y Vidrio”, ICV- CSIC, C/ Kelsen 5. 28049 Madrid. SPAIN.
1. TITLE.
It should be concise and reflect the contents of the publication.
2. AUTHORS.
Underneath the title author’s (authors’s) full name(s) will be indicated, as well as the name of the institution where the research was conducted.
3. ABSTRACT.
The text will be preceded by a short abstract, 200 words maximum.
4. KEY WORDS.
Later of the summary will be indicated up to a maximum of five words key that better they should describe the content of the work, of agreement with the list included in the subject matter of the Bulletin of the Spanish Society of Ceramics and Glass. The words will be attached fix in English.
5. TEXT.
The text will be submitted in Spanish or English, typewritten with double line spacing and using the front page only, the page being adjusted to UNE Standard A4 (21 x 29,7 cm) with a 2-3 cm left hand margin. The total length of the article should not exceed 8.000 words. In order to account figures and tables, each single figure cover approximately 200 words and each regular table 300 words. For easier comprehension, it is recommended to structure the text into logical sections provided with a short heading and sequentially numbered in Arabic. Such sections may have any number of subsections or chapters, identified according to the example below:

2. EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE
2.1. Identification of raw materials
2.1.1. Chemical analysis
2.1.1.1. Granulometry
The use of symbols, abbreviations or acronyms of physical magnitudes should follow the International Unit System.
6. TABLES AND FIGURES.
Tables and figures (graphs and photographs) have to adjust in any case to the scope and requirements of the research reported. Tables and graphs should not be used simultaneously to represent identical data. Tables will be numbered in Romans and provided with a short legend. Figures will be numbered correlatively and in the order of quotation in the text. Tables and figures will be presented on separate sheets at the end of the paper. Tables and figures will have to be expressly mentioned in the text.
7. REFERENCES.
References should be listed in the order in which they appear in the paper. The order numbers in the text should be into brackets. All references should be listed together on a separate page. References to periodical papers must include the authors’ names, paper title, periodical title, volume, number, page range and year. Papers from books or proceedings should include also the title of the proceedings, the name of Editors, the location of the publisher and the year of publication.
8. GALLERY PROOFS.
The authors will receive the respective printer’s slips for proof reading, which must be returned within one week. After this time, the Bulletin’s editorial staff will proof the gallery with no liability for errata remaining in the text. Upon gallery proofs, no modifications of the original text can be accepted, unless the author bears the charges.
9. REVIEW AND PUBLISHING
Original submission will be able to be realized by e-mail to the following direction secv@icv.csic.es or by ordinary post including the article files in a CD. In any case, it is necessary to clearly indicating the complete address (e-mail required) of the corresponding author. Those authors who are memberships of the SECV will have to mention expressly this fact in order to obtain a preferential publication time of their article once it has been accepted.
Types of contributions
The journal publishes the following types of contributions: Articles of review, articles and technical notes. The articles will have to be scientific reports related to the ceramics and the glass in the areas of Art, Design and Patrimony, Basic Science, Electroceramic, Glazes and ceramic pigments, Bricks and Roof tiles, Raw materials, Environmental, Whitewares, Tiles, Refractory, Coatings and Glasses.
The Editorial Committee will select two reviewers for any original manuscript received and will returned to the authors the reviewer’s comments. Only original manuscripts will be accepted. When the paper has been approved, the authors will submitted a disk containing the final version file of their contribution in wpg, doc or txt type file in addition to the final hard copy. Make sure that the disk and hard copy match exactly.
The review articles will need a previous extended summary of 700 words indicating the article approach and the topic relevance. After acceptance of the Editor the original will follow the regular review process. English language will be recommended for the review articles in order to enhance the diffusion and impact.
The Technical Notes included those original works having a technological approach and will follow the regular evaluation process.
